April 10-14, one of the largest computer project and robotics competitions was held at the University of the SDU. This competition provides an opportunity for young talents to declare themselves in the IT field. In fact, this is a unique chance for many schoolchildren, both from Kazakhstan and from other countries, to develop, achieve results, and win in this area. The main prize is a grant from the University of the SDU. After this competition, participants can contact their partner.
The winner of last year told us a little about the project and how his life changed after the infomatrix project.
“My name is Kuanysh Qaisar. Last year I presented a project with a bionic prosthetic arm.
I have been involved in this project for 2 years, starting from the 10th grade. Teachers and parents invested a lot in me. The school believed in this project, so last year I presented it at this competition. And we took the honorable first place. In the posh hall we were awarded medals and certificates. We asked for funding from the university rector. In the CDS, we have a branch of an organization that deals with bionic prostheses, the organization itself is located in Astana, and I am the head in Almaty. And now we continue to work on this project, believe in it with all our hearts and develop it every day. We still have a couple of plans in the plans, but for now we will not talk about them.”
One girl presented a project on ecology in the form of an interesting video.
Alipova Ardak.
“I did 3D animation – this is a cartoon “friends.” This means that our country has innovative ideas. I wanted to show that cars, airplanes, factories pollute the earth.
By the way, all the cartoon characters can talk and move. The aircraft is becoming increasingly gray and gloomy. This shows that our actions are detrimental to nature.
I want to show that even in this case, they support a person with friendly relations.
Because he is selfish. After that there will be cars and the consequences of the same. I would like to mention the plants, because they are very bad for the earth.
I perform this 3D animation in great detail to show all the features. Due to the fact that at the end of the cartoon I wanted to show that we have all the possibilities and don’t need to end on such a rude note, because I have rewinding and visual shows that we have a choice, there is hope for a bright future .
Next is the process of animation itself. This is a very scrupulous job. I have been doing this since December 2018. I had no experience in working with animation at all, but during this period of time I have mastered several programs.”
It is wonderful that such competitions are held, because there are so many talented children in the world who do not have the opportunity to realize themselves. Such a competition as infomatrix provides such an opportunity.
